Let's chat a little before the lights go down and the curtains part
Time to Go Indie.
After more than two decades, the publication I worked for went another direction. Fair enough, and all the best to them! But no longer having that platform for reviews, interviews, and think pieces is no reason to let the viewing party end.
As with any publication, not all of the work I prepared saw the light of day. But that’s no reason to let those interviews, especially the more recent ones, molder away.
And while we all love movies - that’s why we’re here, right? - not every conversation as to be about the latest, greatest blockbuster or upcoming tent pole flick. With so many films from more than a century of filmmaking to look back on, why not lean into some “Over the Shoulder” reviews, looking back to recall and maybe reassess from a contemporary point of view?
